I don't think we're being overlooked by the media, as we're getting almost all of the #1 votes... but I do think that everyone wants to see someone outside the SEC get the crystal ball. The Tide isn't putting up numbers like Oregon. Clemson and Florida State are trying to make a run. Louisville and Baylor are beating their chests, and Ohio State hasn't lost since 2011...The national media needs a story! There's nothing else they can say about the Crimson Tide, other than "they're not looking too dominant...they have a weak schedule...they're too slow for the PAC-10, look what Oregon did to Tennessee!"
I know there was some gnashing of teeth nationally when there was suddenly eight SEC teams in the top 25. The media recognizes the fact that winning "ugly" is still a win, but it's a lot of fun for them to tout the flashy teams, and say, "What If?" I'm hoping to continue the streak of SEC domination, but recognize the fact that everyone else is tired of being second tier conferences.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
