So here is the situation in a nut shell:

The 2011 and 2012 recruiting classes on the offensive side of the ball for Muschamp and his staff were complete disasters. In 2011 you have to give Muschamp a pass, as he just came in and tried to save what Urban Meyer left behind. In 2012 - Weis screwed him and left, and the class suffered. So 2013 was the first really good offensive class that Muschamp recruited and it shows.

If you want to know why the offense is so bad, this is one of the reasons. We can discuss coaching and play calling till the cows come home, but at the end of the day, it usually comes down to the talent of the players. And it has been lacking for years now. The only reason we even have a working OL now is because of a JUCO and 2 transfers.

Unless you want to fire Muschamp and start from scratch, I honestly believe that Florida fans are going to need to wait until 2015 to see a complete offense.

In 2011 and 2012 we signed 2 OL each class. That is one of the dumbest things you can do in recruiting. Huge mistakes.

I agree they were mistakes, and taking 5 in 2013, plus the 2 transfers were supposed to fix that, especially since one of the 5 was a Juco in Trenton Brown.

But we said before the year that we couldn't afford any injuries on the OL for that reason.

Well we lost Chaz Green (maybe the 2nd best OL) right away, and Halapio has been playing hurt all year (pectoral), and DJ Humphries has not had a very solid sophomore campaign.

Combine that with Moore and Garcia struggling with consistency in a new offense, and who do you have playing well?

Basically Harrison and Koehne have been our most consistent linemen, and Koehne has been consistent but not spectacular. And both OL from 2011 haven't even played yet even though they've been on campus for 2.5 years now and it's time to wonder if they'll ever really contribute.

And we've really lucked out with the development of Dunbar and Patton into decent WR's, but UF was equally unlucky when neither TE from the 2012 class amounted to anything.

Really its a mess on that side of the ball right now because of the defections from 2009 and 2010, and because of the horrible recruiting in 2011 and 2012.

So at this point, we either shut up, and give Muschamp a full five years, or we just cut losses and fire him now. I'd rather keep him personally, but I think UF fans need to get used to waiting for success again.

I have issues with waiting for success at UF.

For my Magic? No problems
For my Rays? shite playoffs are a huge deal and success.
For my Bucs? Well...actually kind of growing thin here because of the coaching bust that is Greg.
For my Lightning? I'm cool with not always being great.

Not for Florida though. My whole life they have been a top flight team, the only time they haven't was when the coaching was bad mainly.

Zook years - All three bad, all three are to blame on this frick.
Meyer's sixth year - Steve Addazio...simple as that
Muschamp 2011 - 2013(assuming at this point how bad we look) - 2011 was coaching switch it's understood. This year is not understandable. Florida is one of the EASIEST jobs to succeed at. It's right there with Texas and USC. We have more ties than anyone in the most college producing state. We have the whole SEC in our surrounding area to get recruits from as well. We out gain FSU and Miami easily and have better facilities. We play in the best conference.

There is no excuse for poor recruiting and no production for years on the offensive side. None. Some how the defensive classes are awesome. Time to get new people in this offense, Davis and Pease had their chance and have failed.

Pease wasn't even here in 2011 when the recruiting was abysmal, and 2012 was the Weis-Pease transition class.

Pease has only been here for ONE full recruiting cycle, and we had an amazing recruiting cycle on the offensive side in 2013.

And 2014 looks damn good so far with Grier, Lane, and Cook already committed and 4 offensive linemen.

That's the thing that people are missing.

2011 and 2012 are essentially lost classes. Muschamp got frickED my fat charlie bailing out after one year.

UF would have had Diggs and Agholor if Weis would have stayed through NSD.

Joker and Robinson are responsible for this class i think. Robinson has locked himself into Dade county. Muschamp is also responsible for recruiting offense too though. He has a major hand in defensive recruiting does he not on offense?

If its so damn easy and if we are talking National Championships how come only 2 coaches have ever had success at UF?

Ole if you don't know that answer you must be very young or not studied the history of our program. State of florida didn't hit a major boost in population till after ww2. Neither uf, Miami, nor Fsu had any ability to substain high level success till around the latest 70s and early 80s. Notice since this time, the state has had one of the the three major programs in half of the title games.

Uf has top ten money
Top three location
Ties in the whole northern part of florida
Ties in north Carolina and georgia
Plays in the best conference

Most people consider Uf one of the best jobs in cfb. Google it. Almost everyone from ESPN to yahoo to cbs has us as top three.

Why...because of the things listed above.

Muschamp is THE reason we have Grier and Cook.

I dont disagree UF is one of the top jobs in America, but its not easy to win at UF. It seems like, from the way you post it seems as if you expect a National Championship every year. If it was so easy Spurrier should of won like 6 or 7 more national titles. It is not easy to meet Florida fans expectations. Its one reason Spurrier left us, winning 10 and representing the east every other year wasnt doing enough for Florida fans and he quit having fun, thats one of the reasons we have to give the HC job to career assistants or some small time unproven coach. No elite coach wants to walk in this "fan expectation" type of job that we have at Florida.

Is it possible we have so many injuries because we are too physical in practice? I know Muschamp regrets not being physical enough in practice in 2011 to protect from injuries on a thin team.
