9-3 and a quality non-BCS bowl game (Cotton, Capital One, Chick-fil-a) seems realistic at this point.

Would Mizzou fans be content with this? Or would that be disappointing?

Florida, South Carolina = loss

Who do you think they beat out of Ole Miss and A&M?

With our backup QB 9-3 would not be a disappointment at all. Having said that, I'm waiting to see what Mauk can do before I reset my expectations. He does still hold the all time record for passing yards in high school, even if the teams he played against weren't great that is impressive.

If mauk is even league average we could still win 10 games, but this weekend will tell us a lot about the ceiling of this Tigers team. And Hugo, I actually appreciate when your threads aren't just lame troll attempts, this was a good thread.

I'd be ok with 9 wins. Before the season I would have been ok with 7. But I'm secretly hoping for a shot at Bama in Atlanta.

It's disappointing that Franklin got hurt. But I'm cautiously optimistic with Mauk. If we end up 9/3, that's a real success compared to last year, but there will be a lot of "what ifs" to it. Content? Yes. But maybe a little disappointed too.

You can accuse me of being bitter or sour grapes or whatever..but I have fully owned up to the fact that we lost to the better team saturday. With that said, Missouri will lose 3 more games this year in the regular season. Even with our scout team on offense and our woeful defense, it was a 1 possesion game in the 4th quarter.

UF, SC, and aTm will beat missouri.

Mizzou is not losing to Florida. Most likely 2 losses to SC and ATM.

So, if they beat Florida, don't they own the East (assuming a loss to USCe, Tennessee, or Kentucky)?

Even if they lose all games to the West, they'll own the East, right?

I really feel like FL is a win. Their O-line is trash, their best blocking back is out, and we have the best pass rush in the league right now, imo. We won't score very much, but I have difficulty believing their offense will do much of anything against us. I feel like 10-2. losses to A&M and USC.

I'm so glad you're here to make sure everyone has realistic expectations. Without your guidance, we would all be lost.
