Not surprised at all. Last year there was discussion of them winning the East in their inaugural season. They were supposed to do what A&M did. The East is still in transition with Florida not quite back to form and Georgia losing so much on D, although it is more stable than it was a year ago. This year really should have set up to be Mizzou's year.
It's funny how we quickly forget.
Given their success in the Big-12 they should be expected by anyone who knows college football to be at least a middle tier SEC program with banner years when they have seasoned qb's like this one.
The issue with that offense is always keeping the qb healthy in a league with physical fronts. It's going to be tough unless you get a guy like JFF who simply can't be hit solidly or a Cam Newton who just runs over people.
What I am surprised by is their defense. They play with a chip on their shoulder and look to have maybe the best pass rush in the league. Will be interesting to see them play a team who can actually run the ball consistently (Georgia even before injuries never truly commits to the run like they should IMO).
Georgia's a great win. However, as with Mississippi State last year let's keep in mind their schedule up to this point.
