I mentioned the Siskey effect a week ago. Not sure if he was literally stealing the signals but if you are going to call plays with big arse poster board that athletes with a 15 act can decipher dont be surprised when other teams pick up on it. Last year danielson cracked a few signs Oregon was using in a game pointed out how a certain picture always meant a certain formation, etc.

Alabama has about 4-5 tough games a year so hiring a person out of 40-50 to get a better understanding of the up and coming new coach is just smart business.

People have always poached off their competitors to try to gain an edge you hear these kinds of stories in the NFL all the time signing recently cut players to the practice squad , etc.

I guess the NCAA could just make a rule that you can never coach in a game against any former teams you coached for.

I agree with this completely

Did it effect us last night? Absolutely.. but we play big boy football in the best, most competitive conference in the country. Use any advantage you can get
