True, but you don't have to be a politician at Alabama, you just have to win.

Being the HC at Texas carries a bunch of bullshyt tasks with it like gladhanding oilmen, doing all the LHN crap (could you honestly see Saban dealing well with a friggin TV network following him around?), and kissing babies at church picnics.

Mack is still employed because he's friends with the right people -- all the friends in the world at UAT won't save you from a 7 win season.
