Agreed, and this is what I keep telling people who ridiculously think he'd go to Texas. Alabama is a better football program than Texas, and the deep south produces better high school talent that's better suited to play his system.
UT boosters are too preoccupied with nonsense and access to ever land someone like Saban, and they'd never allow him complete control like he has at Bama.

I believe the same was said of Bama prior to Saban, FWIW. Saban actually ticked many big boosters off, when he cut access
