I'm not quite sure what to take from the game. How do you think we did?

1st half: not good.
2nd half: respectable.
2nd half: respectable.

While AU played very well and never quit, they had a strong showing in last year's game as well. as I am sure you know, that wasn't really an indicator of future success for the season.
That said, I think the future is bright on the plains.

Hard game to judge. Obviously LSU is the better team but it is hard to take away alot from a game that was in a down pour 3 of 4 quarters. Auburn did hang in there towards the end but LSU was playing overly conservative. I think it would have been a real blow out without weather involved.

Your not nearly there yet but your team showed they have fight in them. It's respectable. When the talent gets there, you'll be good to go.

Considering last years team, great. Marshall threw some beautiful passes. If he can do this consistently Gus ought to be able to get ya'll a lot of points. I don't really see a dominant team in the conference so it'll be interesting to see how things pan out. A lot has been made about us 'taking the foot off the gas' but the fact is, our D has had series focus issues every single game. Kudo's to AU for taking advantage.

--Stupid first half playcalling at times
--Stupid decision making by Marshall in the 1st half
--Stupid turnovers that took you out of the game quickly
--Looked much better 2nd half
--Solid running game throughout
--Didn't quit like last year
--Players appear to have bought in
--frick Kiehl Frazier
--frick Jake Holland

I respect how Aub kept fighting and never gave up till the last whistle. however, if LSU was coached by someone like Sumlin you would have lost that game 55-14. Miles basically took a knee from the second quarter on

About what I expected score wise and you can tell auburn has some pride this year. Looks like middle linebacker play is what is going to be the weak link and cost them some games.

A double digit loss

yall kept fighting and made it respectable after LSU called the dogs off and just rushed four and dropped everyone else back in coverage in addition to running the clock out on offense.
Yall have a ways to go but at least yall have some balls this year.

Keep in mind, y'all fought hard against LSU last year as well.
Not to be Debbie Downer or anything.

And which poster does this alter belong to?

Nothing to be ashamed of....lost to a good LSU team in their house. However, Aubs do not have the horses to beat Bama and Aggie. Probably 4th in the West.
Having said that, AU is 180 degrees better than last year and appears to playing with good fundamentals. Now its a matter of recruiting.
