And potentially raising his stock after another year, yes. I'll be the first to admit I thought AJ wouldn't look as sharp without his 2012 offensive line giving him ultimate bus driver capabilities, but he does have pretty good arm strength, so I thought another year would help him improve his draft stock. Turns out this may not be the case.

Where would you peg his draft stock as of now? After beating Notre Dame?

The arse whipping of Notre Dame where the defenders were covering imaginary girlfriends and going all in on trying to ankle tackle Lacy getting 7 ypc instead of Tide receivers? I don't think the Notre Dame game told them anything. JaMarcus Russel would have done the same thing AJ did.

I don't think he's a first round or franchise player at the position. He doesn't seem to read defenses all too well, and doesn't seem great under pressure, but his arm strength is at the level NFL GMs want. It isn't necessarily in tandem with a quick release but it is definitely there. First and second round guys need to be starting day 1. He's not that in my eyes. Again I could be wrong. He is a player I think that is definitely worth a backup up role given his arm strength, but a lot of NFL teams might want to take a mobile guy and try and mold him in that role instead of a statue like AJ. Right now... my list of NFL QBs. I don't like to put sports rankings in single file order, I think that is an over simplified method and wildly inaccurate way to approach things, I think things should belong in groups or tiers.

Tier 1
Bridgewater
Manziel
Boyd
Morris(most will disagree with this and for good reason and this is with some marked improvement but he has lacks hesitation in his play which is something I really like)

Tier 2
Kevin Hogan(I know he's a sophomore like Manziel and will probably play a couple more years but the kid has something special and could come out right now, imo)
Hundley(mobility factor, most likely a flameout but has gotten better)
Mariota
Miller

Tier 3
AJ McCarron
Mett
Fales
Murray
Renner

I think that tier 3 is all really telling. AJ McCarron at North Carolina or San Jose State would produce about the same in my opinion as Renner or Fales. I've seen AJ on a bigger stage do some pretty good things, but some pretty not so good things. Same as Murray and Mett.

These guys will all get a shot, I bet, but I'm not sure where they'd be drafted.
