While that's true, I think he's getting at the fact that LSU and Auburn haven't been consistently elite. 2010 was a one-time thing for Auburn. Auburn hasn't been a championship caliber program in a while. 2011 is a Top 3 team in LSU history and featured one of LSU's best defenses in history. LSU hasn't come close to fielding a defense that good in the surrounding years nor has the team been that dominant.

Alabama isn't dominating the SEC, but they've been the best. It takes some fortune to get voted into the BCS Title Game, but Alabama has deserved each trip. I don't think LSU fans are riding off Alabama's success, and Florida fans have no reason to either. Everyone else really hasn't done much though, so I can kinda see the Duck fan's point.
