What's your definition of game manager?

Yeah its weird if he is a good "game manager" then what are your QB's not doing? They certainly aren't winning the games and championships that matter. So if McCarron is just a game manager (which they will say when Dave Cornwell or Ricky Town are our QBs) what does that make LSU and UGA's shitty QBs since they obviously can't manage the game good enough to get the wins when it matters and win championships.

Ill be one of the rare LSU fans that looks at AJ and sees a star quarterback. Guy can make all the throws, good to great footwork, throws a very accurate ball and has a ton of confidence. Even more, he has the total trust of the bama coaching staff. I don't see how any SEC fan who has seen him play the last year and a half can honestly label him solely a 'game manager.'

I think Mett gets more than his fair shot at the NFL, however this year turns out for him and LSU. That arm will get him on a roster.

Not sold on Murray or JFF at next level either way. Could see both flourish or bust.

The question of the OP wasn't about best college QBs - it was draft value for NFL. Winning crystal - surrounded by top talent or not - doesn't equal great NFL QB nor high NFL draft pick. Compare the BCS winning QBs below who won games and championships that matter to their eventual NFL draft / playing success:

2000: Josh Heupel - Undrafted Non-Factor
2001: Ken Dorsey - 7th Round (241) Non-Factor
2002: Craig Krenzel - 5th Round (148) Non-Factor
2003: Matt Mauck - 7th Round (222) Non-Factor
2004: None
2005: Vince Young - 1st Round (3) Non-Factor
2006: Chris Leak - Undrafted Non-Factor
2007: Matt Flynn - 7th Round (209) Non-Factor
2008: Tim Tebow - 1st Round (25) Non-Factor
2009: Greg McElroy - 7th Round (208) Non-Factor
2010: Cam Newton - 1st Round (1) Starter
2011: A.J. McCarron - ??
2012: A.J. McCarron - ??

All winners of crystal. Few high NFL draft picks. Even fewer meaningful contributors in the NFL.
