I think this season kind of blows due to the fact that there are less than 10 good teams in all of NCAA football. There's a significant drop off after that. A lot of NCAA elites and powerhouses are stinking up the join too.

Good teams:
Alabama
Oregon
LSU
Texas A&M - 1 loss
Clemson
Georgia - 1 loss
maybe Ohio State (defense is garbage and they should win out because they don't play a soul).
South Carolina - 1 loss (I guess I have to throw them in here, even though I haven't been that impressed).

That's about it. 8 good teams. 5/8 are from the same conference.

Powerhouses like Texas, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska, Miami and so forth are stinking up the joint or eventually will stink up the joint at some point during the season. The "elites" (notably the SEC) have separated themselves from the rest of the nation and it's gotten kind of boring. Even then, lots of these SEC teams have major question marks (defense is shaky or they struggle to make a first down - Florida).

I love the SEC dominance, but I miss the days of parity sprinkled across the nation.

People are complaining about how bad this upcoming week of football is. Trust me, it is. But it's that way due to the lack of parity. Look at some of these games...these would have been/used to be "Gameday games". Now, they are snooze fests.

Tennessee @ Florida - in the mid to late 90s, this was "the game"
Auburn @ LSU - in the 2000s, this was "the game"
Kansas State @ Texas - used to be epic battles for the Big 12
Michigan State @ Notre Dame - classic rivalry that has produced fantastic games
Clemson @ NC State
Purdue @ Wisconsin
UNC @ Georgia Tech

College football is just in a rut right now. Hopefully it'll break its cycle soon.

This is retarded.

We had 22 first downs and 413 yards of total offense against Miami. Miami had 10 first downs and 212 yards total.

We're not going to turn the ball over six times every game (four times in the red zone).

UF can compete with UGA, and to think otherwise is stupid. It'd also be silly to count USCe out, as they could very well run the table.
