The Aggies seem to be content with this "moral victory" against Alabama. Many of the fans on here are just relieved that Johnny Football didn't come out and lay an egg. They don't seem to mind bowing down to their new big brother in the SEC. Right now they think they are second fiddle to Alabama in the SEC and seem to be proud of it.

Well, that's largely true. But keep it in perspective. This time last year, virtually everyone thought we'd be fighting Ole Miss to stay out of the bottom of the conference. Just one year later, and people wonder whether we are the 2nd, 3rd, or (worst case) 4th best team. That's a significant upward trend. If we sustain this success, our fans won't stay content. LSU has had a lot of success over the last 10 years. We've sucked eggs the last 10 years. But, now, the wind is in our sails. We'll see what happens.

Agreed, A&M joining the SEC was great for the program. Could possibly have awoken a sleeping giant, but I like it. The LSU vs A&M game is going to be a good one for years to come. Wish we never would have stopped playing in the 90s.
