Question: What do we do with Bird when Denzel is ready to come back?

IMO we can't just sit him down after having 2 back to back games like he has had. But then again we can't sit one of the most talented players and probably our biggest leader in Denzel either.

Switch the base to a 4-3 and play both of them. Problem is secondary isn't good enough to do that, they did improve during the game last night.

It took our secondary a whole half to adjust to just simple screens. That really frustrates me

Maybe with Sawyer and Golson both healthy they can help shore up the secondary.

I don't think Bird is going back to the bench anytime soon. This gives us a chance to ease Denzel back into the rotation and develop some depth. There will be plenty of snaps for both of them!

I love Marry but he's slow and is pretty consistently out of position in coverage. Wouldn't be surprised to see them both out there on passing plays and Marry on the bench

I doubt this. While Marry is the slow old man, he is the brain of the defense. He is always getting guys in the right spots.

We cant go to a 4-3 defense because then Conner would have to sit.

I just think they all rotate more. Of course you could see the 4-3 scheme a little more. Its a great problem to have.
