I think its a down season for defenses everywhere thanks to all the new rule changes and fear of ejection. Not to mention offenses are probably exploiting said rules. Once the DCs and the players get used to the changes you'll see defense creep back up.

I agree and I thought the targeting call against Bama was BS. At least they did not eject him.
