We should be fine. If it turns out we knew about his ineligibility and still played him, then we're fricked. But if we didn't even know about it until after he was gone, then I have to believe we shouldn't be punished too heavily. I wouldn't be surprised either way. 2011 and 2012 could easily be vacated

The thing the NCAA would have to do to pin anything on us is to be able to prove their is a lack of institutional control. With Saban at the helm I find this highly unlikely.

But if something does come out of this it isn't the end of the world. I grew in Memphis during Calipari's time and when the Derrick Rose stuff happened they thought it was the end to what is a pretty prestigious basketball program. Well they have finished with a top 5 recruiting class every year since then. Calipari, who was the coach when the sanction hit, has since won a championship and could possibly do it again this year.

Ohio State and Penn State both brought in 2 guys I would consider extremely good coaches while on probation and USC would probably have been dominant during their probation if it wasn't for Kiffin.

tl;dr There will probably be zero sanctions unless the NCAA can prove their was a lack of institutional control and if sanctions do come we will still be one of the elite teams in college football.

From the wise words of Nick Saban:
