Grinding off barners for a bit

I know our players made mistakes but I'm sorry, we have a weasel of an OC. At least Muffin took some responsibility, but this prick lays it on (or I interpreted what he said as blaming) the players 100%. It is about execution but it's also about play calling and putting our boys in position to be successful. "You know what I'm sayin'?"

I really hate him. I get the feeling that he has no phucking clue what he's talking about. He needs to gtfo and if mullen doesn't fix the offense against good teams this year he can gtfo too.

I hate everyone except Cohen and Butch.

It seems we are not alone...

Long read, but this only works if LK goes, then bump the pay.
I agree with tds and beer. We want a winner and the current staff aren't doing their job.

Mullen runs the offense. Stop blaming LK. Even if it is LK, your coach is a retard for not cutting him lose and he deserves what's coming to him.
I feel bad for the players regRdleS.

exactly
Koenning gameplans, coaches QB's, recruits, and does every damn thing Mullen tells him to do
Re-watch the ESPNU show on us- Mullen tells the world that he is sitting there "scripting offensive plays for practice". The person who runs the offense does that. He then hands that sheet to the rest of the offensive coaches so they will know what the team is running that practice. Mullen runs the offense

Wow. That's a good article. Except for when he said that Les was good at developing quarterbacks. Lol.

Sorantable and coonass agreeing on something is earth shattering.
Maybe I wasn't clear in my main point. LK is the one who came out and blamed the players in the video and took no responsibility as a coach. Whether he actually calls the plays or not, Play the blame game in the locker room not to reporters!. I do not care if he is just a puppet. Maybe he needs to go to friggin' puppet school or sesame street and learn how to be a better puppet. My prediction is if the barners win this weekend, LK's days are numbered. Muffin won't be bought out since MSU can't afford it and he will want to try to appease the fanbase in order to cool down his own hot seat. LK is the perfect one to go and that would make me happy because if you have the title of offensive coordinator, you must take at least part of the responsibility since you are the one that recruited these guys and have the responsibility to communicate the script to the players.

Meh. We've always gotten along even though I'm banned on his site.

I agree with you --
But I think Koenning has to get the ax for perception alone -- whether it changes a damn thing or not.
The ONLY way I see Koenning being here next year is IF we go to Dak -- and thus the playcalling/creativity improves -- and thus the spotlight eases off of him a bit. We stick with Tyler, I see no possibly way that he survives... whether Mullen makes the choice or it comes from above him...
Should've been gone after last year...

Another reason he should be gone. I would run in the opposite direction if Les tried to recruit me.

Now that I got that out of my system, Grind [ON].

Whoever is calling the plays needs to get better. There is ZERO reason why anything should have changed from last year except improve the calls on running. It was the major issue down the stretch.

It's been that way for two years before it. I don't know why it would change this year without any personnel changes. That's why I have no faith when Russell is at qb. I expect terrible "execution" again this week.

Interesting in looking back at the last half of the season. It very much so seems our 2 biggest problems were rushing and defense. We are not going to win many games giving up 500-700 yards. We are not going to win many allowing 37 points on average per game. We won't win any games rushing for 47 yards, 47 yards, 30 yards, and roughly 95 in another.
It appears, though we won't know until those games get here, that we have stepped up our defense. Rushing it is still an issue though.
