The worst set up date I ever had was with a DKE. Different guy than the swap, but from Mobile, natch.
Motherfricker got GIN AND COCA-COLA to drink for the band party. Tasted like beer battered shite. When he would look away or talk to someone, I poured it out on the floor.
He refilled my Solo cup about 7 times and then said, in a very amazed tone, "Maaaan, you can drink most of the guys here under the table. You aren't even buzzzzzed, maaaaan".
Then I had to ride on a stupid bus to Legion Field, for an 11:30 game against some directional school, while he drooled on himself and snored.
WORST. DATE. EVER.

Most of the Bama DKEs (former and current) I know aren't bad guys. They have their pompous a-hole moments but decent people deep down. Very deep in some cases.

This sounds like my first blind date at Bama. DKE from Mobile, everyone on the bus shite faced then passing out in the stands. I went and called my older brother who was in medical school at UAB to come and get me. Next day the DKEs were freaked out and called my sorority house with this ridiculous story about me leaving them drunk with a bunch of other frat guys. Only thing was I had already told my story.
