Oddly enough, I do too. The UT vs. UF game was soooo much better back then (and I don't mean because we've sucked for the last few seasons). Everything from the needling to the whole two native sons that chose different paths -- one who went and played at UF the other at UT -- to Spurrier's being a former QB wearing his heart on his sleeve in those games (even more than he does now) versus Fulmer's former O-linemen are dead serious personality made it all so much more epic.

Fulmer and Spurrier couldn't have made better characters to establish a brand new rivalry if Hollywood had written them. It was pure drama coupled with some amazing games (not to mention game weeks). Sadly, I think the rivalry is dying off without them ever so slowly (they were the glue) and returning to just another heated game between 2 SEC teams.

Ah well... can't bring either one back so just hope for another great pairing like that to emerge.

does anybody have any idea what the argument was about?

Who had the better unit. Spoiler alert- they both sucked.

But no I don't think a concrete reason has come out yet and doubt one ever will

Backup center in the game is my guess. Don't think we went under center for one snap all night

Did anyone have the balls to ask him about the short side option out of shotgun, on 4th and goal from the 1/2 yard line?

Yea he said it was his fault and a dumb play call. Said if he could do it over again they'd maybe go out of the pistol and do something else (read- throw the ball)

I remember spurrier smirking last year after the Clemson game about how much Clemson was running the quarterback sneak. but then he does the shotgun on the 1/2 yard line which seems a lot dumber. LOL
