He is too important on defense and depth is too thin to worry about putting him back on returns. Honeslty, none of his runs were impressive and we're very lucky he's playing this week given how he got blasted at least twice last week. Who are our next best options?

I sure as hell do not. The risk is not worth the reward. He is not as versatile a returner as Ace was and he should not be in there as we need him leading the D. My heart almost stopped when he got popped last Thursday.

I don't know why he let himself get pooped like he did....if his field awareness is poor or he was just focusing on seams in the coverage to notice someone bearing down on him at full speed. He catches the ball and hangs onto it even after those colossal hits, which is a positive. He moves upfield quickly. If he could just avoid the head-on hits that he seems oblivious to, he would actually be fine....

But we get Ellington back who I'm sure will handle kick-off duties, and at some point we're supposed to be utilizing Cooper in kick returns somewhere. We seem to have some options other than Victor, so maybe we can spell him a bit....

Ha for a second there I thought you meant Ced Cooper, and I was about to call you the biggest moron since MoRon, but I then realized it was Pharaoh.

ETA: and for the record, no I do not want Vic back there ha

The only reason for having Vic back there is for his sure-handedness and experience. Other than that, I wish we could find someone else to do the job. I am like y'all... when he got nailed and laid on the field for a while, I thought the worst.

I'm IN this bitch.

If Hampton goes down, we are thin at CB. Ahmad has been great as a backup, but why risk it, he's our best DB. I hate using starters for this KR/PR job, unless they are just leagues better than the next option. Vic got clocked twice against UNC. Put someone else on that, WHITEHURST. He was 1st Team All State for GA as a Specialist/Returner and he's fast as frick.

I'd like to see someone else back there. Ellington will return kickoffs now that hes healthy so that limits the amount of hits Hampton is exposed to.

If he was the best hands on punt return though I don't hate seeing him back there. He took bigger hits on kick return if I remember correctly except for the no call spear and fumbles on a punt return are gamebreakers

Looks like Hampton isn't starting Saturday and Christian is going to be in his spot and Bruce is taking punts. Great...

Your source may very well be more reliable than mine.

Everything I've seen is reporting Christian to start but Vic will play.

That's right. Christian will start but Hampton will be dressed and on the sidelines just in case.

Ellington to return KOs. Haven't heard that he is also returning punts. Was hoping #11 and Carson would get to try their hands at PR.

Ward said Ellington is returning punt but he wasn't sure about who was returning kicks last night. I'm thinking it might be Cooper or Carson since a muff on a kickoff isn't nearly as detrimental as a muffed punt.

If Carson gets some returns in do you think he'll finally quit pouting?
