As someone who was born and raised in central Arkansas, I can tell you that everything outside of Northwest Arkansas IS shitty. Stop kidding yourself. NWA is the ONLY saving grace of this entire state. If not for NWA we would be Mississippi.

I don't know a lot of people from NWA who have a complex about the rest of Arkansas.
Honestly, most people around here I know don't go to lots of places in Arkansas outside of NWA. Its not a personal thing, its just that we have a metro here with just about everything you need. Little Rock isn't a shopping destination or anything for people living here. The Ozarks are right next door.
Apart from going duck hunting east of Little Rock, I haven't been through Little Rock in 7 years.
I've been to Dallas probably at least 15 times during the same time period, mainly because there are things to do and see there that I can't do here in NWA.
Its not personal, its just how it is. Why does that piss people off? I also don't go to Tulsa or OKC very often.
I hear people in NWA occasionally talk shite about Fort Smith, but its mostly kids who grew up in Fort Smith who moved here, joking about Fort Smith.

Grew up in NWA and remember there was a time when it was the poorest part of the state and no one from the rest of the state cared if it withered on the vine. It was only after NWA started having success, a lot of success, did the politicians in Little Rock decide that Arkansas needs a more equitable distribution of taxes across the state and started funneling dollars out of NWA.
So forgive me if I am a little critical of the rest of this backwards state who hates NWA but is all too ready to receive tax revenues generated here.

I haven't heard anyone say that there is anything wrong with being proud of NWA. The problem is calling the rest of the state backwards or poor or ugly. Which is spread throughout this thread and creeps into every GSD thread. All that being said, all the games need to be in Fayetteville. Little Rock used to have a great tailgating, now it has turned into a big party where instead of enjoying game day people go to get drunk. I am really impressed with the tailgating in Fayetteville. It is more spread out you can walk around see the beautiful campus and all the great tailgating that is going on. In my experience it is more family friendly and the experience is worth the drive. Finally bottom line it costs the University money to have games in Little Rock. Money that would be better spent on the athletic program.

I live in Florida now but I've lived in Benton, Jonesboro and Rogers and have family in LR, Texarkana and Benton still. NWA is approx 752x nicer than anywhere else. Fact.
