I wonder if he made a deal with Northwestern's head coach at last year's bowl debacle that if he got fired, he could go to NW and be Off Coordinator.

Schematically? Does that mean that the basic look will be the same? If that is what it means, I am good with that. We just need some more imagination.
How about a little option work with Josh on the pitch? What corner wants to tackle him? We could bring back memories of our 2 most famous non-pitches. Didn't pitch to a wide open Dixon against LSU. Didn't pitch to a wide open Ballard against Auburn. Ah, the memories...

No, but obviously when most everyone is saying we need a change from this shite show of an offense.
No one wants to hear about how "schematically" nothing will change in our game.....NEWSFLASH: WE DON'T HAVE A frickING GAME. So Dak will add some flash to our shitty arse offense....great!

Maybe we all enjoy different definitions of scheme or schematic then.

We need a win just so taxman will step back from the ledge.

He said the same thing about the defense. It's a little different, no? Believe it or not, Dak runs the same offense as Russell. I'm tired of hearing about this shite.

There really is nothing wrong with our scheme per se. The wrong person at the helm makes a big fricking difference in a read-option attack. Perkins is a really good back, but he should not be the only run option in that offense.
No one on here is knocking the air raid offense, but we sent OSU back to their 2009 form of the T-formation after they saw how prepared we were to defend their air raid. Sadly, we really weren't prepared for that offense AND the air raid.
Dak lead the team to 130 yds in the 4th qtr. We would all feel better if he had gone 160 yds with 2 TD, but we made a couple of mistakes in the red zone that killed nice drives. We proved on a few drives that we can move the ball. The "scheme" is OK. We just need to execute better, and we do NOT need to call stupid play after stupid play. No scheme works when you run stupid plays.

Perfect on the stupid play calling. Alot stated at some point early on last season that we were running a vanilla offense to keep the SEC from knowing the playbook. We get to the tough part pf the season and we run the same plays.
It's easy to blame a QB, but this isn't the fault of TR. It won't be the fault of DAK. You can not call the way we did against a mediocre OSU and expect to win against Auburn, Lsu, Ark, Bama, and A&M.
BTW, I refuse to count what DAK did on the field against OSU in the 4th quarter down 21-3. We opened the playbook more out of needing 3 tds to win.

No, we didn't open the playbook. We did go for it on 4th down to keep drives going, but the plays we ran were fairly standard plays for our offense. We took a long shot on 3rd and 1 knowing we would go for it on 4th and 1 if we missed. We missed.

Yeah but Dak was just straight dropping back and passing a lot. You won't see that as much if he starts against a decent team. Maybe against Alcorn so he can get some work in.

what I want to see is a ton of read option and play action passes.
