I'm still just asking myself why the subject line required three exclamation marks rather than one question mark?

Seems like "Dethroning the SEC?" would have worked far better and been more apropos for the subject matter contained herein.

Anyway, no ... Stanford will not beat the SEC Champ. Harbaugh made them the flavor of the decade but Stanford is not even likely to get past Oregon, SoCal or UCLA this year and certainly not all three.

I think the bigger issue is they are trying to fill the crater left by Souther Cal especially after their meltdown last fall. Talking heads are lemmings so when the main driver fails they put up the next in line. Problem is neither the Cardinal or the Ducks have a crystal football yet to give them the full legitimacy the Trojans have enjoyed for decades.
