Monroe-native and five-star defensive back Laurence "Hootie" Jones, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound safety who like many of the visitors joining him is heavily considering Alabama and LSU. Jones told Rivals.com that Alabama has recruited him aggressively and that he considers his recruitment a dead heat between the Tide and the home-state Tigers.

"I talk to Alabama a lot more than I talk to anyone," Jones said. "I don't know if you can say they are recruiting me the hardest, but I do talk to them more. Alabama and LSU are pretty much equal."

Monroe is my hometown and I have a cousin that attends Neville High and plays football where John Diarse(LSU) and Laurence Jones "Hootie" are from. From what everyone is saying around here Hootie has been slightly leaning to Alabama because he wants to compete against Diarse who plays WR for LSU now. Take it as it is. IDK if true just heard it through the grapevine.
