And ruin the country club atmosphere/architecture being cultivated in Athens since Michael Adams took over as President? Are you nuts?

ETA: The Only building upward that will be happening is this massive Terry Business College expansion that will be ongoing by the stadium/heart of campus for the next 5 years.

Don't attract sunhog into this thread, you'll get him off on a tangent about the theme of campus.

I hear you on the have to prove you deserve it angle, Broyles took that approach for everything but football, obviously track has world class facilities, but he demphasized basketball in his later years, basically not money was spent on coaching, upgrades, etc. Now we are having to play catch up, but will again be back towards the top once the IPF if finished.

You don't give a coach the tools that everyone else they are competing against has, then demand they out-compete the rest of the coaches on the field/court/etc. backwards logic.

I really, really do hate this man. He shite all over athletics and supposedly concentrated on the academics and fund-raising, but I haven't noticed any great advancement in our academic standing and I'm pretty the majority of that fund-raising went into he and his friends pockets.

Oh, and the guy replacing him is just a mindless crony that is among the worst people employed by UGA when it comes to playing favorites. Don't expect any great change regarding the way things are run with that timid little girl in charge.
