My guess is that this series was either neutral/neutral or bust, as Wisconsin wanted nothing to do with visiting an SEC Stadium

Seriously bro?

Couldn't the reason to be "wow, if I go to Wisky or LSU, I get to play in Reliant and at LAMBEAU FIELD when I'm at school, and that's pretty cool."

No, Wisconsin was adament that it be a neutral site series. That's what took so long...to get an agreement worked out with Lambeau. Wisconsin was willing to do a deal but it had to be somewhere other than Baton Rouge, and LSU said that they would do neutral if Wisc would also give up a home game to a neutral site, and Lambeau is really the only viable option in the state of Wisconsin for major college football outside of Camp Randall.

LSU does want to get into the state of Texas to battle A&M for recruits, partuclarly in the Houston area. Playing at Reliant is not a selling point. Reliant is not a dump by any means, but it is a blah stadium.
