Short term territory issues and why I hate non school / teams having an unemotional interest in the local group. It is why I do not eat at chains and prefer local places instead.

That one may be ego more than anything else. Jones has no real interest in the secondary stuff and ridicules it instead of supporting it. Since he tows the line he keeps his access but it would be nice if Mitch or Eli "encouraged" a broader view.

That is more where I was thinking on a site like SoB or EJSIC where there is win win issues where collaborative effort can be achieved. Not in case of an obvious regular crossover but a backdoor agreement with each side to allow it now and again.

I mean you're more than welcome to try yourself, but I'm just speaking from experience that small sites will likely not be any more receptive because it's very dog eat dog.
