Are you even in St. Louis? Have you read any of Dave Matter's articles? Frankly he is STL media when it comes to Mizzou sports and frankly he blows the doors off any one in COMO or KC or Springfield or anywhere.

Matter is the shite, and I think him moving east will make a big difference. However, in this world of waning print media viewership/subscriptions, the sports talk radio world is kind, and I think that's where Mizzou fails. I'm not in the markets, so I'm not sure, but it seems like Mizzou should have a much better "homerism" factor than it does considering the journalism and broadcast journalism school.

First, online stuff probably is just as big as radio these days and Matter has been updating his blog regularly. Second, the sports radio in STL is an ever changing landscape. The FM sports channel(ESPN) sucks. It is all pro coverage all the time. KFNS, where I think Cusamano is, is no longer a sports station, but man talk that includes some sports. For example, Bubba the Love Sponge has the morning drive time I think. Some sportscasters/radio guys and maybe others had wanted to buy their own station and I think they have. 920 is a brand new station and that is where Matter contributes along with Gabe. I've had trouble picking up their signal and even streaming them. Hopefully they pick up signal strength and pick up steam before the season because its a format change for them going to sports.
