I think you are looking at it the wrong way. Sumlin will play Manziel because he's auditioning for an NFL job. If everything works out whatever sanctions are possible won't follow him to his new team.

Well I'm not even going there. I'm trying to talk to sense to Aggies, who can't fathom that Sumlin would ever even consider leaving College Station, so that would only complicate the discussion.

One battle at a time

But it is true that if Sumlin planned on sticking around for a bit, he would certainly put the long term good of the program above the 2013 season

LSU doesn't play A&M until November, so I could give a shite if he plays early or not.

Oh bull fricking shite. You and every other LSU fan alive would celebrate every loss sans-Manziel with a euphoric haze not seen since Bama 2011

when my Texas friends rejoiced when y'all came to the SEC, they told me "aggy is your problem now."

I'm starting to understand what they meant.

You realize this investigation will almost certainly be over by the start of the season, right?

By the time we play Rice the investigation will be going on three months. Even Camgate didn't last that long.

This really isn't that hard. There is no liability to A&M to play him provided all information they obtain in the case is passed to the NCAA. If the NCAA then feels there is a lack of evidence to suspend him, nothing will happen.

You can bring up Sumlin or anything or anyone else you want but none of it matters. No one is going to be held responsible for not being omniscient. There is either evidence that needs to be acted upon, or there is not and no action needs be taken.

It is pathetic how personally invested you are in this issue.

I'm getting a kick out of this board. If he gets suspended so be it, but until then I'm gonna enjoy opposing fanbases getting off on it.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I truly don't care. Yall don't carry that kind of weight for me. Honestly I'd rather them beat Bama.

We shut down JM last year, so we'll be able to hold our own at least.

But A&M is literally the only other game Bama has to worry about, so I'd like to see JM give them a loss, although I don't think it happens with JM or not.

This isn't really something you should be saying when your last post was "you don't have any friends."

Please stop. For your own sake.

I actually can't believe you're on here all the time. I'd be walking the streets of Dallas getting drunk on warm milk. Anywhere but here

and I do have friends. Plus my Dad said I can accomplish anything if I put my mind to it.

If you care, based on the people I've talked to, we're not going to do that and we feel fully protected in proceeding like this. It's why we brought in Lightfoot, Franklin & White. They've apparently explained exactly what I did. If we have no knowledge, we have to assume innocence.

Look beyond your own selfish motives. I'm sure aTm could kick his a$$ off the team for a bunch of reasons that only they know about. We are only discussing WHAT WE KNOW. He could then go play for another Div 2 school and maybe he learns a life lesson before he becomes elegible for the NFL draft. I'm sure you aTm homers would prefer that he gives you another solid year, but is that really in his best interest?
