I can't seem to put my finger on why this game feels like a matchup between two different sides of America. It's like the civil war of College Football. Is it Liberal vs. Conservative. Is it the colors Burnt Orange vs. Red, White, and Blue. I honestly can't think about why this comes to mind, but it has been bugging me since last year. It's weird because Ole Miss isn't the name program that Texas is, no offense, but when the two play it's like one side of America vs. the other.

Last year it was America's game, this year it's longhorn network and part of mississippi's game.

I kinda got that feeling too to some degree. For me I just figured it had a 1960 feel to it. Like if Bama were to play a Oklahoma. It just kinda reminded me of football from a different time. Of course that was just in the names playing each other.

I grew up in Texas so I naturally hate UT.. but when people found out I was going to school in MS they always assumed it was Ole Miss, because OM is the more recognizable name. I think many of the same 'type' of people that would go to UT go to OM from Texas so it's like "America's Game" but more like "Elitists of America Game".

But I also wouldn't put OM on the same lvl as UT as far as general douchebagery and preppyness.

I agree it's a marquee matchup though.

Because college football fans all over the country are tired of hearing about fricking UT. frick UT. They are too gotdamn big for their britches and the entire country wants to see someone whip that arse on a national stage. We got pecker slapped last year and people want to see us get revenge in Austin.

David vs Goliath. Ery'body loves an underdog.

Texas hasn't been right ever seen getting whooped by Bama but Ole Miss is finally going to make that arse quit!

It's not America's game, so the only logical explanation for these thoughts is that you are most likely ill.
