I think you're missing my point though. My point is that the Religious Right and Christians in general shouldn't cherry pick some sins as worst than others and should focus on the sin nature that EVERYONE has (if you believe the Bible) and include themselves as "bad" or "sinful" when preaching or debating with someone. In other words something as seemingly trivial as gossiping or envying your friend for his house or job and wishing you had them is just as bad as adultery, homosexuality, etc, etc.

If you object to me merely pointing out that the Bible very clearly points out the things I listed as sins then I don't know what to tell you. You and I might not like it and may think for example that gays have the right to marry and live as they choose but I can't believe what the Bible says while pretending that gay marriage is Biblical sound. That doesn't mean that as one who believes himself to be Christian that I or other Christians should fight gay marriage or stand in the way or them getting married. There is a big difference.
