It's actually better than getting a 4* JUCO guy...he was an EE as a freshman so he has 4 springs under his belt, he's already a well-liked member of the OL, he knows the play book inside and out, he's been in a good S&C program, and he has actually recieved 3+ years of GOOD coaching instead of the shite you get at the JUCO level. We now have 4 legitimate OT's battling for starting spots which means we can move Gates down to guard if need be. They'll probably ease him back in but I could see him starting by week 6.

Agree on all accounts. My only point was to equate it to a recruiting win. Your counterpoint sounds much better than mine.
