Really hope we land this kid, he will be a game changer at the slot position for either program
NSIG (not sure if Germans) but from the banter I've read around here, it seems like every LSU fan thinks Speedy is an LSU lock. I'm not saying he won't end up at LSU, but it's a lot closer race than some of you are willing to admit

In your absence at the last chat, Andrew Lopez said that he still thinks that Gerald Willis and Speedy Noil are both leaning to Texas A&M over LSU. What do you think, and will Lopez face any disciplinary action for this heresy?
James Smith, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune:
LOL...He will be punished plenty by our passionate chat participants I am sure. I am becoming cemented in my stance that LSU has an edge for Willis, but is still trailing for Noil. When I say cemented, I mean until one school makes a big move on either prospect. From what I have heard, A&M and Willis have not been in as much contact with each other as they once were.

Our feeling is that he's ours if our offense shows improvement and a commitment to the pass this year. If we have a terrible offensive year he's much more likely to head your way.

Go to the 247 A&M board. Speed is a lock to A&M there.
As was said earlier, it's July.
I will point out though that in your own link it mentions that Willis and A&M have had very little contact and Willis is leaning to LSU. You think Willis and Speedy don't end up at the same school in the end?

There is one factor that everybody forgets. Noil is related to Frank Wilson

Recruits like to make pacts saying they will play at the same school in the early recruiting stages. However, more often than not they end up playing where they are the best fit, not necessarily with their buddies. I agree that LSU's offense this year will be a major factor in his recruitment as well as the number of WR's/competition in each recruiting class.
As far as playing with people he knows, Noel Ellis, an A&M db, also went to Edna Karr HS fwiw.
Yes I know it is only July, just pointing out that the scale is more balanced than some seem to think

It's a long time till February.
But that said, A&M can be a major player for any WR anywhere in the country that they chose to go after.
Sumlin has proven that he is committed to a hurry up passing offense in which a WR can get some crazy stats.

This guy has been yelling LSU lock at anyone who looks at a football in the state of Louisiana the entire offseason like the rest of you hard headed coon asses.
I merely bring up the point that this dude is changing his stance on Speedy's recruitment and so should some of you. It will sting a lot less if and when he chooses the good guys.
For the record, how do you prefer your crow to be served? Im sure you could find some rat hole out in the swamp that will fry some up in corn dog batter

Sumlin will most likely be gone after this year if the Aggies have any sort of success. That's all it will take for most of these borderline Ag commits to look elsewhere.

You can only wish. Coach Sumlin is not going anywhere. TAMU is a destination job and the last Head Football Coach that voluntarily left was Bear Bryant.
Yeah, and they better be concerned about Tyron Johnson right behind him.
The film don't lie and what Sumlin can show off will get any receivers attention!

What WR's has A&M put in the NFL? Now compare that to LSU

I've always considered Jimmy Details a joke, going back to when he really posted on this board and would get in e-fights with people that he disagreed with.
On another note, yall got a tard clogging up this board something fierce right now.

I read the other day that LSU hasn't had a 1000 yard receiver in 10 years. Clayton Was the last one maybe? Is that true? Someone educate me

I'm thinking Josh Reed may have been the last one.
In 2006 we had 4 NFL WRs, but the ball was spread around between them that none every really stood out over another as far as yards go.
