Clowney is going to win the Heisman and probably break sack and tackle records this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with 20 sacks.

That said, we have 11 people on the field and he's just 1 guy. He will likely get a couple sacks, a handful of pressures, knock Murray's face in the dirt a few times, and make a dozen tackles. But that's not going to constitute the entire game.

AM is experienced enough to keep his composure and not go full bitch-mode and just toss the ball up for anyone on the defense to pick. And as much as I dislike Bobo, he's not going to just run Gurley and Marshall right at Clowney or design pass plays where AM only does a 5-step drop while Clowney is single-blocked and blows AM up on his blind-side.

We're going to score points against USCe no matter what Clowney does. We need our defense to step up that game and keep their points lower than ours. It's that simple... err hard.

It was rather strange that UGA came into our game last season as one of the top-scoring teams in the nation: in the first 5 games, UGA averaged nearly 50 pts per game (48.2) and didn't score fewer than 41 in any of them, but can only manage 7 meaningless pts at the end of our game. Clowney only had 1 sack last season - the team only sacked Murray 2 times and had 6 TFL.....they had only 2 sacks (both by Clowney) and 3 TFL in the 2011 game.

But the entire defense constantly rushed and harassed Murray until he was either looking over his shoulder with every pass, or rushing them before his receivers were ready. Clowney will demand full attention from the UGA OL, but who will block Sutton, or Quarles, or any of our young LBs or Safety we choose to blitz?

I think we should expect to again see a constant rotation of pressure on Murray....when it's an obvious passing down, we'll release the hounds in our Rabbit Pkg. and see how Murray holds up then. It's worked very well for us the past 2 seasons...

Don't flatter yourself too much there man, our schedule before y'all we saw some of the weakest defenses in the nation. We played Buffalo, Mizzou, FAU, Vandy and Tennessee so that should explain the high points per game.

You are over-fapping yourself.

We have a ton of excuses for the S.Car game.
We just don't air out our laundry like Cock fans.

Besides the DL pressure, we really won b/c we shutdown the run game and had 10 pass breakups, that's more than anyone else had on them all last year. Everyone on the defense did their job well that game.
