I read it as pointing out the conflict in paying coaches the multi millions a year our schools do, and because of the monster contracts and stakes involved there is without doubt a lowering of standards and a culture of looking the other way when it comes to the behavior of the student athletes.
Also, besides all that, sneaking people that are fighting another guy is just plain chicken shite cowardice.

This is without a doubt complete horse shite. How bout Doyle list out the arrest record of the gen pop of students for comparison?

I couldn't glean too much from a 20 second clip that started after the action. Congrats to you on being able to though. I would hope you'd use your powers for good and not evil.

I wonder how many 18 year old males could walk out of a court room and not be in handcuffs after admitting that they stuck their dick in the mouth of a 14 year old girl? Not many.....unless your a star footballer. The fight in the bar parking lot speaks for itself. You gotta want to win pretty badly to want to hang on to the likes of Jeremy Hill.

Again....more arrests? Bama or lsu?

You say this as if Alabama didn't keep recruiting him.

Bama has had more players arrested in 2013 than LSU.

Alabama. How many of those players are still on the team? After all, isn't this really the issue. It's a little too early for Doyel to write this article because I certainly don't blame LSU for having someone on the team get arrested; but if Miles sweeps it under the rug then he deserves all the criticism he receives. If I were Miles, I would ask "What Would Meyer Do" and then do the exact opposite.
Miles likely knows Hill better than any of us, so only he knows what is appropriate. But, based on the limited information I have, I think the guy probably needs a reality check, and I would think it would be for the benefit of him and the team to sit a year while he reevaluates his priorities and decision making. In the grand scheme of things it isn't a severe penalty and may be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Lowering of standards? The only reason anyone cares is BECAUSE it is Jeremy Hill.
If this was some random frat guy nobody would give a shite. In fact, some random frat guy probably knocked out some other random frat guy in front of the same bar last night. Guess what? Nobody gave a shite.

I haven't been on SECRant much, but this thread is more proof that LSU is Bama's new little brother.

Somebody has to set the example, it's the burden we bare. You can have your fickle wins, we'll produce quality people.
If our student athletes don't live up to the standards we expect off the field, we don't allow them to continue to muddy up our insitution.
I honestly can't recall an Arkansas player that wasn't booted from the team for having anything violence related. DMAC may have been the last but in his situation they walked out and got some thugs breaking into his brother's car and it was on.
We kick starting RT's off the team for smoking fake weed... the fake stuff that other SEC programs recommend so the players won't pop positive on UA's.

4 out of 6 LSU arrests were battery charges.
0 out of 14 for Arkansas were fighting related, almost all of ours were petty things like having a bit of weed, driving buzzed, buying $35 in gas on someone else's debit card.
Seems to me like Arkansas doesn't have violent criminals on the team just kids that like to have too much fun from time to time. Fayetteville PD don't have major crimes to worry about like the BRPD so rather than letting a player go, it's encouraged to arrest them.
In Baton Rouge, the real crime is out of control so a player with a gram or two of weed or selling a couple oz's a week isn't nothing to be concerned over. The DA won't even charge a hate crime in an obvious case down there because it's chicken scratch compared to what's happening in the streets. So if LSU's team was in a place that was a bit more slower paced I think you'd see triple the arrests. Les has proven to let things slide until the public or media presses an issue.

So your football players are not violent people. That explains a lot.

It actually does
Gotta be a monster on the field and sometimes it happens off the field too. That's the balance that football programs have to manage.

Wow.
