Because he doesn't have elite speed. He has decent speed but he doesn't run low 4.4's. not that he isn't fast just that it's not elite speed. He is the best route runner I've seen since Josh Reed. He kind of reminds me of Josh. Not physically impressive, doesn't have elite speed, but if it touches his hands, he catches it and all his routes look the same. He doesn't tip his hand when running a route. His body doesn't lean before he goes into a break and that's rare for a freshman.

Sounds about right...I'm curious on how much he's improved since last year...so ready for august 31st!!!

"Last year in the spring I ran a 4.4 (40-yard dash). This year I ran a 4.34," Cooper said.

I'm sure that's hand timed. I don't know what his real 40 time will be, but he's pretty damned fast. He blows by DB's deep consistently. He's always pulling away at the end. Kenny Bell is supposedly a burner, but I don't think he's faster than Cooper.
