After beating possibly the best Florida team ever at the Swamp, 99.9% of UT fans were getting ready for the title game. I know I was. We didn't even see this one coming. 
At the time (mid 90's~early 2000's) the motto for UT was beat Florida, and you automatically win the SEC.

And ended up in the final Citrus Bowl instead, how appropriate.

This is a fact. I had just moved to The Boro and Vol fans were saying they already had their BCSCG tickets.
