You and I both know this can likely be chalked up to growing pains for Vandy football. They've never had a culture there that lived a triple six lifestyle. When you've got a culture that values songs where a line is "let's call the boys, let's run a train..."
Google the lyrics to Three-Six Mafia's song Slob on my Knob.
Arkansas had this issue in the late 70's and a few years ago with the basketball team. When you value athletics over academics and the purpose of a university then stuff like this will pop up.
Look for more incidents in Vandy's future if they're ginna be a player. If the girl wouldve known what she was from the get go this would be a non issue and just another Saturday night in Death Valley.

No one knows the details. However, the thing that has changed at Vandy is our better recruits - somewhat of a majority - are choosing Vandy over Stanford, Northwester, Ga. Tech...etc. We are not recruiting a different athlete from a character stand point and we have not lowered academic standards. Before this our biggest scandal was "steroid" use in the 90's. Makes you wonder how bad they would have been without steroids. I am confident this is an aberration and not trend created by signing better recruits.

Are you honestly blaming the girl for not knowing "what she was?" Something is seriously wrong with you. I don't care who a girl is, what she wears, who she hangs out with, how many guys she's screwed in the past - none of that matters. If these guys ran a train on her without her consent, or if she was too drunk to consent, they deserve to have the book thrown at them. That is so far from OK, so far from anything that is acceptable. I don't care what "culture" they subscribe to, unless they had her consent and participation, what they did is criminal. And sick.
People need to step back from thug rap and think - they all have a mother, grandmother, aunts, sisters - would it be OK if something like this happened to those women? One out of four women in this country will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime. Look around you and do the math.

Spoken like a person who is not familiar with the basic tenants of "good recruiting".

This has gotten less coverage than any scandal like this I've ever seen.

i agree. and i've wanted to say this the whole thread- anyone who runs a train or participates (willingly) in a train is a gross skank imo both sexes that is. by no means am i saying this girl is- just whole idea is nasty and about as unsexy of an event as getting a root canal.

2 guys is not ideal, but it is ok because you can go to either end. 3 you are going to be crossing swords, and playing bocce with your balls. 4 and someone has to be standing around watching. And it isn't like he can see the girl with everything going on.

The Duke Lacrosse case and my own experiences with these button pushing girls that feel entitled and trump up their self worth from getting dicked down by the athletes at their university.
These sketchy chicks brag about which and how many players they've done. There's websites out there where skanks basically check in and tally up the musicians, actors, athletes, etc that they've gotten drilled by.
I'm not blaming her, but I'm certainly not jumping up and down hyperventilating about these guilty players either. I'll let the thing play out and I'll continue to crack tasteless jokes when the opportunity arises.

Wow, this whole thread is just a great cross section of how men truly view women when they can hide in anonymity.

No kidding. Although their reputation seems to be changing.
And I don't think any girl would expect a guy she's seeing to do something like this.
This. The fact that she was with someone she thought she could trust makes it all the more sick. How can you ever trust someone again after that? Hell even if they were just friends she's going to expect the person she knows and trusts to take care of her not give the okay for other people to violate her as he watches.
I've said on here before that I thought this was a timebomb waiting to explode but the details (that this was her boyfriend) make me fricking ill. And VU's silence as well how fast they booted off the team make a lot more sense now. Dayum.

Sadly shows exactly how what is rumored to have happened could happen.

Very true. And as a woman, I find it especially frightening and disgusting. I can only hope idiots like that never breed.

I remember a girl getting mad when she thought the 6th guy was spitting on her.
Hell he was just trying to lube things up and spit on her back.
She was a ok until then. Got mad at him cause she thought he was disrespecting her.
Hard to figure some women out.
