The most respected recruiting analyst in the entire Scout network, Steve Robertson, has said that MSU's odds of landing Green are in the neighborhood of 100%... Bold prediction from a man that has had egg smeared across his face , genitals and anus just about every January and Februaury since the Clinton administration was running our country... I, for one, refuse to give up hope.. If OM's staff covets Green as much as I think they do, they will not go down without a fight... One could argue, dare I say flat out assume, that odds such as these from Steve O all but guarantee that GG will be wearing a Red and Blue flat bill come NSD... I guess we shall see.

I've heard some rumblings that Green is close to committing to them, but that by no means means its over. If he hasn't committed by the start of fall camp then State needs to worry. They don't have a class without him

I hear things from time to time... I look forward to Devin hanging out with the other top MS guys at the Dandy Dozen photo shoot... The MS/AL game rosters should make an impression on him as well.

You really believe this?

We likely get Green, Aeries Williams, Jesse Jackson, Cory Thomas, and Grant Harris. All high 3 or 4 star guys that we lead for. We also lead for a LB from AL named Keith Holcombe who will likely get a bump soon he's one of the top 15 players in AL.

Y'all have another solid class no question, but to act as if ours hinges on Gerri Green is WAY off base. Also if you look at 247's crystal ball predictions even the om writer David Johnson has Green going to State so it's not just rosebowl

He started at WR and was backup QB. Caught a number of TDs and played some wildcat QB. Mullen offered him on the spot after watching him go through drills. Last guy Dan and Staff did this for turned out pretty good (Chris Jones)

why do y'all use the Chris jones example for every low ranked recruit

im sorry but I don't think there will ever someone to go from a low three star to the number two player in the country in one season ever again

Because he is the ultimate example of an under the radar recruit not rated then rated low who sprung up the rankings all of the way to a 5 star.

Do you have a better example?

I could use Jonathan Banks as well. One offer from a 1A school who was a 4 year starter All-SEC and 2nd round nfl pick.

Heck I can use Patrick Willis for you guys. He was lightly recruited out of a small rural HS in Tennessee. He became all SEC 1st round NFL now All Pro one of the best LBs in the NFL.

Aeris and Jesse are solid, but not elite. Unless your class is full of those type of guys then you need a few elite type guys like Gerri and Corey. And surely you don't see Corey and Jesse as "locks". Y'all got on them early and that is the only reason why you lead at one point for them. Neil for instance thinks we lead for Jesse now and that lead will continue to grow the longer his recruiting goes on. And if Bama wants Corey, y'all won't get him. Y'all have to land everyone you mentioned for your class to not be 13th in the SEC. I think its a coin flip for both Jesse and Corey so yeah, if you don't land Gerri your class is garbage

Ok that's your opinion.

I think we finish with a good class in the top 25-30 range

Are y'all going to sign 4* QB's or WR that will go play other sports or not qualify again? I mean no one wants them for those obvious reasons so im sure yall can grab them to boost that recruiting ranking. Last year that was the difference in finishing in the top 40 in recruiting even though for the obvious reasons no one wanted them they didn't make it to campus, but at least y'all can pretend your program is still on par with OM's
