Pretty much. You are just a CAD tech with more student loans if you don't have a PE. You can't design anything and you can't sign anything
Of course, some CVEGs work in other fields where they don't care, but if you want to practice in civil, its about as important as having lungs

Somebody was like they can work on Government shite, but good luck on that 8 hour test. I could not give a shite if I pass or not.
