False accusations of rape are not at all uncommon, and considering the gravity of the offense and the lack of factual information thus far, having a knee-jerk "OMG THAT POOR GIRL! BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!" reaction the instant you read about a simple investigation just makes you look foolish.

Exactly. But also calling the accuser a full blown cum dumpster attention whore makes you look foolish as well. Eventually, we'll know more. Until then, everyone needs to chill.

Wow, nice false equivocation there. No one in this thread has called for the Vandy players' head; several people in this thread have insinuated the alleged victim is lying.
