I bitched pretty bad on the survey(and have been called in response to it) about being charged for parking on the street($35) where I have tailgated for numerous years, and being blocked from a field because it would, "need to be regarded and sodded after being abused by tailgaters". which is laughable, because it was, nor has ever been graded or sodded.
All they have done is say this new area is free, you could tailgate there before. this is nothing new besides marketing

I saw places they said you can tailgate at now that I know you haven't ever been able to tailgate at.

They re opened tailgating by the track across from the Softball fields...that has been closed for about two seasons and a ton of folks used to be there for years.
My spot at the CDV appears to be untouched.

re opened
they act like they found some hidden unknown spots, no they are just opening places where you could once go or spots that have been open(tailgate at the park, spot) The tailgate drop off spots are a joke as well.
I'm all for preserving campus, but they are crazy with some of their thinking. If you want to make gameday better for fans and vistors keep it central to campus, rather than forcing you to walk a large distance

They obviously got a lot of complaints on the survey and I am glad they listened.
The lack of attendance at the games last year adn the leaving early probably helped too.

Auburn needs to preserve the green spaces on campus from the damages of tailgating...
...so those same green spaces can be destroyed for new construction.
AMIRITE?

I think the University's plans for expansion contain the explicit intent to find the places where people MOST love to tailgate and take those areas away.
Because they hate you.
ALL of you.
I hope your head rests easier on your pillow tonight knowing that.

Who else was in school when cars used to be parked on the Concourse during the week to hold a tailgating spot for Saturdays?

Best tailgating spot on campus, that or the little triangle area that used to be in between Haley and that tiny building before the stadium. That or the little parking are where the new chemistry building kind of is. Those were my spots.

This. I miss being able to park in the tiny lot at the Allison Building and tailgating with all of the RV people. Also, it was easy to stumble across the street to the stadium no matter how drunk one got.

People used to park in front of my dorm window at Noble Hall on Magnolia.
