I'm just not sure what the NCAA really allows though in terms of a player talking about a potential recruit on twitter. Would he still be allowed to tweet about them like he does now?

Noah Dickerson said Georgetown, Alabama, Florida, Virginia and Michigan were the schools prioritizing him.

That's from Evan Daniels

In that order?

No I don't think so. Daniels didn't say this is how he ranked them. Georgetown is thought to be the leader though.

If Pujol has been let go, I wonder if we have anyone out there recruiting in his place during this evaluation period?

LINK

The Alabama Challenge streams live in about 10 min. I believe Hall and Austin both play for the challenge...

Did you watch? How did they look?

Yikes. I got distracted a lot, but from what I saw of Austin I was less than impressed. He scored 1 FT to my knowledge. Hopefully it was just a terrible game for him, but I didn't see much potential either.

I watched Austin earlier this year. My opinion is that Grant should encourage him to look around and see what his options are.

You gotta think if Cheatham/Dickerson are willing to commit, our staff would do that.

Yep. There is also the possibility of Retin going to Europe after he graduates next year, so that could leave a scholarship open.

I don't think that'll happen. There's no bigger fan of CAG on the team than Retin. I think he'll play until he runs out of eligibility.

I hope so.

In four games this weekend in Sacremento Austin scored 8, 23, 5, and 13.

Yeahhhh I watched the game that he scored 8 and I somehow missed all 3 of his baskets . Still looked pretty bad though, and he had at least 4 turnovers which is a lot for someone that didn't handle it that often. Very encouraging to see the 23 pt and 13 pt game. I was beginning to panic.

It is starting to look like Alabama will hold the last scholarship ( which probably means letting Dakota Slaughter keep it for another year) for the next cycle. That might change with Worrell, but not sure.

I do NOT expect any of the Mizzou/UT signees to end up at Alabama.

That's what Cecil Hurt said on Tidesports. I'll be ticked if Turman/Cofer end up in the SEC and we didn't try.

Not sure why we wouldn't try and go after a high-profile transfer if those 2 aren't an option.

BTW we might still be trying, but Hurt may just not expect the SEC to budge on the bylaw.

Sucks that we're kinda in limbo news-wise until we know if Turman/Cofer can get waivers approved.
