N.C. State going to the CWS Final guarantees that we win the men's cup. Howso?
1. If UNC loses to N.C. State, they finish no worse than 5th.
2. LSU will finish no worse than 6th.
3. Louisville has to finish 6th or higher to pass us.
4. Indiana has to finish 7th or higher to pass us.
5. UCLA or North Carolina has to win the CWS to pass us.
Since Louisville was 12th going into the regionals and Indiana was 13th, they will likely finish 7th and 8th respectively.
Keep in mind that, even though Cal eliminated us in 2011, they still finished 8th while we finished 5th.

1.) Louisville is out
2.) Indiana needs the polls
3.) UNC or UCLA need to win it all but only 1 can advance
4.) State winning the CWS = S - E - C chant
Much simpler synopsis

UCLA will tie us if they reach the finals but don't win.

My math skills may be rusty but?
UCLA has 32 points
TAMU has 88 points
baseball win = 60 points
baseball runner up = 36 points
32 + 36 = 68
68 < 88
How exactly will UCLA tie TAMU if the reach the finals but do not win?

Wow. My math sucks today.
Basically, a Beaver or Bulldog CWS title gives us the cup.

In theory but the Hoosiers are still the wildcard and politics coupled with anti SEC sentiment could give the Hoosiers the cup from the vote. Not to say I agree with this but it is why it would have been better if IU went out first and then UL went out.

What happens on the TAMU board stays on the TAMU board

Looks like UCLA winning is the last shot for us to be passed. Indiana got booted fairly early so I doubt they will jump very far in the polls. Sooooooooooooo..... Go State! Grind [ON] OFF

Options are getting clearer
Louisville lost early and are out
North Carolina did not win and is out
3 possibilities left
1) TAMU wins
2) UCLA wins CWS and passes TAMU
3) IU gets love in polls and passes TAMU
State winning eliminates option #2 but actually may cause option #3 to occur. Still the correct answer is for State to beat UCLA.
Hail State! Hell Yes!

Suppose they wind up like this?
1. CWS champion = 60 points (UCLA passes TAMU)
2. CWS runner-up = 36 points (TAMU beats UCLA)
3. (2-2) team UNC / Oregon State = 30 points
4. (2-2) team UNC / Oregon State = 24 points
5. (1-2) team Indiana / NC State = 18 points
6. (1-2) team Indiana / NC State =15 points (IU passes TAMU)
7. (0-2) team : Louisville / LSU = 12 points (IU ties TAMU)
8. (0-2) team : Louisville / LSU = 9 points
Here is the previous USA poll
1 LSU - Made CWS, went 0-2
2 Vanderbilt - Fell apart end of the season went 0-2 @ home (probably falls out of the Top 10)
3 North Carolina - got to final 4 so little movement
4 Cal State Fullerton - probably out of Top 10
5 Oregon State - got to final 4 so little movement
6 Virginia - did not make CWS so probably out of Top 10
7 Oregon - did not make CWS so probably out of Top 10
8 NC State - May make Top 5 but will make Top 10
9 Florida State - May stay in Top 10 but may not - IU beat them @ FSU so IU moves ahead of FSU tho
10 UCLA - probably gets moved to #1 or #2
11 Mississippi State - probably gets moved to #1 or #2
12 Louisville - lost to IU in CWS so should be below them
13 Indiana - beat UL in CWS so should be above them
14 South Carolina - Should move into Top 10 but below IU
Viewed another way eliminate teams that probably will not remain in the Top 10 and remove teams not making the CWS
1 LSU - Made CWS, went 0-2
3 North Carolina - got to final 4 so little movement
5 Oregon State - got to final 4 so little movement
