A&M would not have been as good for sure. But we had what many consider the best OL in the country. At least top 5. Our receivers and RBS are loaded. Our D played better than we thought.

It will take A&M a couple years past JFF to get the depth they need to be in the contenders of the SEC but they will. A&M is shutting OU down. Beating UT in most head to heads. Those DL that used to go to Texas, OU, Miami or Fla St. - are going to be playing for A&M. Yeas - guys that were the BEST player on D for National Championship contenders converging in College Station.

A&Ms not there yet. JFF clearly moved the progression though.

and good point regarding where has that money gotten A&M before. Nowhere. The old Ags were a different breed - the hated marketing, hated changing coaches, like RC cuz he was a good guy and could keep a top 25 team with top 5 talent.

Those days are over. The new leadership at A&M is all business and believe me - if A&M is putting half a billion in the new SEC stadium? If Sumlin leaves - no coach is safe. The spending we always wanted is happening. Remember Fran - say what you want about him sucking. He was doing great at Bama and they DID NOT want him gone. That was before we have started spending.

A&M is here now. and in 2-4 will be deep. and if Sumlin goes to NFL - we wil go get the best in the nation.
