2015 Huntington Prep (WV) PF Levi Cook (@LCook45) will take an official visit to Missouri in March.

Mizzou needs to just focus on Porter. No chance at Tatum.

I don't disagree with that. I'm saying that it's not acceptable. Having said that, I'm obviously not saying fire someone because they don't land a particular recruit. But I am saying that not landing Tatum will be a failure on KA's part.

Quote from KA on recruiting:
God speed coach, but I don't buy that last line at all. No way having one of the worst seasons in our history will make the program stronger. Hopefully he can get Bryant and Mulder and not lose any of the freshman and we'll have hope.
quote:
"When you're not playing well you don't know how that will effect recruiting, but you can also look at it as you have a lot of opportunity." Remains confident they'll have a good class. "I think we're doing fine. Time will tell. As in most recruiting classes, you don't know until later. We've actively been recruiting some high school players and some junior college players because we do need some experience."
"Our message hasn't changed. Our opportunity is there to come in and play? We're recruiting some kids who are looking for that opportunity to come in and play right away. And I'm sure there are others who look at it and say, 'They're not doing very well so I'm not interested in going there.'" Says of the guys they've been recruiting for a long time, he hasn't gotten indications from any of them that the season is causing them to eliminate Missouri.
"I think in the end it will make us stronger. It may not make us stronger on Saturday, but I think it will in the long run."

I would prefer Jolly over Mulder.
Actually would take Jolly or get Murray to reclassify over Mulder.

Murray is obviously the top one I'd want since he's a 5*, but Mulder is a 4* on 247 and is the leading scorer on #1 JUCO in the country. He could provide an immediate scoring threat. Jolly would be good too, but I haven't seen enough of his film to tell much since he was injured most of last year and the summer.

Well crap, I know we backed off but I wonder if it's because we are worried about his injury or grades. Hard to turn away from a top 40 player.

I will take the positive spin and say that Fulford knows we're going to get Bryant and told Kapita so that Kapita could commit to his next choice before that spot filled up.

Or it may be Cook.
That is the more likely option but I even question that one honestly.

I really hope we dont take Cook. He's got a Steve Moore type ceiling, so maybe can play sparingly as a Junior and Senior, which is not where we need help right now. He's a 6'10 300lb below the rim player with a limited offensive game. None of that sounds appealing.

I get what your saying, but Steve Moore was a glue guy and this team would kill to have Steve Moore on it right now.

Steve Moore wasn't a glue guy as a Freshman (he took 14 shots the whole year) or a Sophomore (1.1 PTS and 1.6 RBs/gm). Maybe as a Junior. Maybe. He played 11 MPG as a Jr and beefed his scoring up to 2 PPG.

I don't recall saying he was a glue guy as a freshman. Go root for KY if you want to root for players for 1 year and not have them even enrolled at your school for a full year. Student athletes at their finest...

Easy chief.
My point is that Cook probably provides no real glue next year. And we need some immediate impact players/glue. Or at least short-term impact. We don't have the luxury of recruiting a big who will help in 2017.
If you thought we looked thin in the middle this year, next year will be awful without some post help.

Feathers not dots...my bad. Big men are always tough to get. Usually really only a few elite guys every year. They often need developing so the blue bloods generally get those guys. Next year we will be the same inside with a year in the weight room so I don't quite agree with the last comment.
