No, you're not. Ten years ago isn't now. And no, you won't be scheduling them more often regardless of whether or not we go to 9 conference games. You've already got 4 OOC games scheduled for 2014 (Idaho, E. Michigan, E. Kentucky, FSU), and Miami already has four scheduled for 2016 (Toledo, FAMU, Notre Dame, FAU).

Thanks for clearing that up. Now that you have pointed out 2 years we can't play, it is obvious now we will never schedule each other again.

to be fair...

While that rivalry game (FSU) is safe, even if the league goes to a nine-game SEC schedule, there appears to be no future prospects for the Florida-Miami rivalry being revived, regardless of the direction the league takes. After the Gators travel to UM to play the Hurricanes in September, it could be decades before the two schools play again unless they meet in a bowl game.

Foley said there have been no recent talks with UM about future meetings, and none are planned.

“You never say never. But that's not high on the agenda right now,” Foley said. “You've got too many other issues. For me to sit here and say we'll do that right now down the road, there's too many unknowns with scheduling right now.

“If you're at nine conference games, plus Florida State, I'd probably tell you it's really unlikely. But there has been no discussion between us and the University of Miami. Again, I have great respect for the Miami total athletic program, but that's just something that is not high on the list right now.”
