Well, most teams are getting to save their ace on Friday, but we are throwing ours against the 4-seed.
I can't say I disagree because we have to win game 1, but Pollo never pitched against UCA in the season, so I thought we would go with him.

If we can get a decent lead and Graveman can go 7+ that would be huge.

If Cohen thinks he gives us our best chance to win, then I can't disagree. This isn't your typical #4 seed.

For me this is what I wanted because why save him for saturday if we lose friday? We have to win game one and he gives us the best chance

It's a good call by yall's coaching staff... If you look at South Alabama's lineup 4 of their first 6 hitters are lefties (another is a switch hitter)... Definitely want Pollo or Lindgren starting against those guys.

UCA imo is the best team in our regional that we will face and has proven that against us already. I was happy with Cohen's decision and glad it payed off. Now we still have our entire bullpen rested and ready for the remaining games and the chance of winning this regional look good now.
