Yeah it definitely sucks and the coast is overrated for sure. I prefer the Northshore in LA. Though I have to admit I've never been to Oxford so I can't say all of MS sucks, just the Gulf Coast pretty much.

Wouldn't say that. Used to live in Ocean Springs, MS and loved.
As long as you're in one of the isolated pockets of money in the area, it's awesome. My folks used to have a three story plantation style house down there, 50 feet from the beach. Till Katrina...
