As you know I have recognized games for their intensity and hard hits or just flat out impact and collisions of the game. However with the passage of no leading with the helmet and you can't hit above the shoulders rules. Gents I just don't think we are going to get that "POW" or "BOOM" we crave during a game. That Clowney hit on that Michigan player could have easily been flagged if you had the wrong refs in. Lets hope this year the Refs allows men to be men in a gladiatorial type game and we get the smash and grab, carnage we love to see. I almost feel bad for saying it but I don't want players hesitant because they might hit someone the wrong way because a running back or receiver ducked. But in any event I hope this year is injury free for everyone or at minimal injuries, the less serious type and we get what we like

...the wrong refs were in there.
Clowney had a clean hit, it's just that Vincent Smith's head exploded.

Oh come on fellas, I'm trying to start a thread without coming off as a douchebag. I'm saying the rules have woosified the game a bit. But hopefully the hits and smashes will continue.
